Photography commissioned by Atlantic Productions for Discovery:

‘Expedition Deep Ocean’

Most widely published is my work from the ‘5 Deeps Expedition’, commissioned by Atlantic Productions. The images were used to publicise the documentary ‘Expedition Deep Ocean’ for Discovery as well as the expedition which attracted the global press. This particular portrait has been particularly extensively used and was front cover of Times 2 - May 14th 2019.

About the photographs:
The expedition was unique; explorer Victor Vescovo took on a record-breaking challenge to be the first person to go to the deepest point in every ocean. He commissioned a vessel capable of travelling to depths of 11km/full ocean depth. The prototype vessel was a world first in its own right as it can repeatedly be used to go to full ocean depth. Victor successfully became the first person to got to the deepest point in all 5 oceans in 2019 and broke, and continues to accumulate multiple world records. I have also photographed the Calypso Deep Expedition for Victor.
This is a small selection, I produced over 3,000 images covering all aspects of the 5 Deeps expedition.

These images were published in print media globally and have been included, and are pending use, in several book publications, including National Geographic’s 2021 book by Sylvia Earle: ‘Ocean: A Global Odyssey’.
