Filming, Drone & location sound recording: 2 Films made in the Falklands for Mastercard / Square

Just before we had Lockdown 1 in the UK, I went on a filming trip to the Falkland Islands to do the sound and drone shots. We were filming for Square, a payment system helping the islanders collect payments for goods and services in particular from the passing trade from the cruise ships. It was a pleasure to film with the drone in such a beautiful part of the world, and a joy to be working in that gorgeous extreme Southern light and weather.

I would urge anyone looking for adventure, wildlife, good honest living to go to the Falklands, it really has it all and is a photographer’s dream. I’m definitely looking forward to returning. Here are the resulting films, don’t miss a trip out to Bluff Cove to see Hattie and Kevin… and all the penguins that hang out there… oh! And the incredible tea room and shop that Hattie has lovely put together.
